A Mindful Practice
How we do something is just as important as what we do.
So often we run on auto-pilot and our skincare routine turns into something we just do, and we simply go through the motions.
But what if we turned our regular skincare routine into a daily meditative practice?
Next time you’re cleansing your face or applying serum, do it with intention. Take time to consciously connect with your skin. How is it looking and feeling today? What is it telling you? What does it need at this moment?
Apply each product consciously, feel the texture on your fingertips, inhale the aroma. Massage your skin and stay present. Connect.
This allows you to slow down, become more present and honor the process.
As with all things, mindfulness will take some time to develop, but with consistency, something that once was just a routine, may even become something you look forward to each morning and night.
